In 1996 the Rural/Metro Fire Department developed The Scottsdale Report which examined local fire records for the last 10 years. During that time there were 598 home fires, 44 were in homes with sprinklers. There were no deaths in the homes with sprinklers. Unfortunately there were 10 deaths in the homes without sprinklers.
