HFSC
has received a $4,000 award through the FM Global Fire
Prevention Grant program to produce educational banner
displays that will aid local fire departments in residential
fire sprinkler education and outreach.
The new display
will feature the latest HFSC information and colorful graphics.
Although compact in size, it provides comprehensive sprinkler
details at a glance, serving as a valuable teaching tool
for a wide range of public venues.
HFSC will make the portable display available on loan to
fire departments wishing to provide home fire sprinkler
outreach through community events that attract large audiences,
such as local home shows.
“This is a great addition to the resources
we offer because most fire departments do not have a budget
to develop their own home fire sprinkler exhibits,” says
HFSC Chair Gary Keith. “We are grateful to have received
this financial award from FM Global. It helps in our continuing
efforts to support local fire safety educators and is a
tool they will use in their communities for years to come.”
