HFSC has produced an informative new video designed specifically to address the most common questions and concerns about home fire sprinklers among building officials and other local leaders.

The fast-paced production covers the basics of home installation, water supply and builder trade-ups, and features the personal experience of a wide range of professionals in the homebuilding industry.

“At only 15 minutes duration, we are expecting this free DVD to be one of our most frequently requested videos,” says HFSC communications manager Peg Paul.

New Web Space for LOCAL Officials

HFSC has also created a new Local Officials Section of its Web site, supplementing the information HFSC currently provides for homebuilders, consumers and the fire service.

“With so much misinformation out there, we wanted to make it easy for building and other local officials to find the facts they need about home fire sprinklers online,” Paul says. “Thanks to 2006 Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency funding, we’ve been able to create a space and new content that will go a long way toward

increasing awareness among community officials.”
The new video and the online content are available at no cost. Visit the Local Officials section of HFSC’s Web site to find out more.
