HFSC is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) educational organization. HFSC’s independence and neutral advocacy for increased awareness about home fire sprinkler systems has helped earn competitive awards and grants. HFSC has created summary reports to describe the activities of recent Fire Prevention & Safety Grants, part of the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) which are awarded through the Federal Emergency Management Agency Grants Program Directorate. The primary focus of HFSC's grant programs has been to support the local home fire sprinkler educational activities conducted by U.S. fire departments.
